Landscaping at the Library

BEFORE: Years of cutbacks in Newton’s budget resulted in the 2008 closing of Waban’s library, hidden for years by overgrown trees and shrubs pictured above.

DURING: Hard at work, Jonathan Bransfield of Bransfield Tree donated $3,000 worth of services giving the new Waban Library Center (WLC) a sorely needed face lift.

AFTER: Bransfield’s transformation of the WLC grounds showcases the beauty of this 1929 Tudor-Revival Style historic landmark. The WLC opens September 16, 2009 and will offer a wide range of course offerings, including dance, yoga, music, languages and so much more for adults and children (see the catalog for more).
